Family Group nº6- Smelling the Roses

Family Group nº6- Smelling the Roses

A Stoneware piece, wheel thrown and sculpted, glazed in a pale blue transparent colour, high fired to 1245ºC and then put through a lustre firing, in the artist's studio, in Cascais Portugal. These pieces take many weeks to create due to the nature of clay and the slow creative process where the artist has to 'feel' the composition is right.

The children, the animals, the plants are all there to remind us of the beauty of life on earth and that joy is the only answer.
